Do you have dried out markers at home???? Grandview and Gould are now participating in Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing new program devised to turn used markers into energy!
The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year.
Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers laying around your house – even non-Crayola brands of markers, dry erase markers or highlighters will be accepted.
Drop-off boxes will be located at both schools for your child to deposit the markers.
Please email email@example.com with any questions.
Books & Beyond's "Universe of Stories" program has come to an end for 2018. The bulletin board by the library is filled with stars evidencing all the reading that took place over the last three months. Congratulations to Ms. Veneziano’s second grade class for having the most students to reach Level 9! About two thirds of the students in her class reached Level 9, earning an ice cream party generously donated by Sip N Swirl! A special shout-out to also recognize the valiant efforts of both Ms. Doyen's kindergarten class and Mrs. Newman's and Mrs. Jones' second grade class, each of which had about half of their students reach Level 9. These classes also have earned a small party to celebrate their efforts and success. This year, 92% of the 386 students at Grandview participated in the program, and a whopping 101 students reached Level 9! These are great results and we are proud of all our students for their hard work and participation! A special thank you to all of the parents for your encouragement of this program! We wanted to give a special thank you to all of the teachers. We know that this program and so many others would not work as well as they do without their help and encouragement to all of our children.
Art Renaissance is kicking off it's second Artist, the Illustrator Eric Carle, this month!

If you are a parent that has signed up, but you are not sure when you are supposed to present, please contact Jodie Leitner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a Saturday Pre-K Program for children entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2018. The program will be held at Grandview School in North Caldwell from 10am to 11:15am one Saturday each month from October 2017 to April 2018. The goal of the Saturday Preschool Program is to familiarize your child with their new school and classmates prior to the first day of Kindergarten. This program is open to all North Caldwell children who will be four years old by October 1, 2017. It will feature special visitors, tours of the school, story time, crafts and snack time. This is also a great opportunity for parents to volunteer and help the NCPE – North Caldwell Partnership for Education. For more information regarding the Grandview Saturday Preschool Program, please e-mail GrandviewSaturdayPreK@gmail.com. Click here for the enrollment form.
